Overview
North-America is a continent that spans the whole Northern Hemisphere and almost all of the Western Hemisphere. It is sometimes referred to as the Americas’ northern subcontinent. The Arctic Ocean borders it to the north, the Atlantic Ocean to the east, South America and the Caribbean Sea to the southeast, and the Pacific Ocean to the west and south. Greenland is geographically part of the continent because it is located on the North American Tectonic Plate.
